Certified Payroll Analyst

Location: Remote

About the Opportunity

Stratum Group is partnering with a growing, multi-location organization seeking a Certified Payroll Analyst to support its centralized payroll function.

This position will process payroll across multiple schedules and locations, with a strong emphasis on prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll reporting, and payroll accuracy. The role will also support process improvement and the integration of newly acquired businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now.

  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports, including WH-347 and client-specific formats.

  • Validate prevailing wage rates, classifications, fringe benefits, overtime, deductions, and employee hours.

  • Audit timecards, payroll registers, labor allocations, and compliance documentation.

  • Research and correct payroll discrepancies before payroll finalization and report submission.

  • Maintain organized records for internal, client, and government audits.

  • Support multi-state payroll requirements and employee data changes.

  • Partner with HR, Finance, and operational teams to resolve payroll issues.

  • Assist with payroll transitions, system testing, and new pay-group setup.

  • Help document payroll procedures, controls, and training materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Three or more years of payroll experience.

  • Hands-on experience with prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and certified payroll reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll calculations, overtime, deductions, taxes, and compliance requirements.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.

  • CPP or FPC certification.

  • Experience in a project-based, government-funded, or regulated environment.

  • Experience supporting centralized payroll operations or business integrations.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
